Currently under construction, Oakleigh will be our five-bedroom, sleeps 12 holiday home. Complete with a hot tub, BBQ area, stunning views, and a modern interior this amazing property is the perfect home-away-from-home for any big group.
Village Life
Both of our family-run holiday cottages are in the rural village of Blackawton, South Hams. A friendly community with a thriving pub, shop, and school, Blackawton boasts lovely country walks with beautiful views and is under 5 miles from the nearest beach, making it the perfect base to set off on your South Devon adventures.
Poppy Cottage
Poppy is a well furnished, sleeps four ’chocolate box’ cottage on the outside, with a stunning open plan interior and far reaching valley views from the downstairs, open-plan living area. It boasts a terraced garden with decking and BBQ station (a British summer must!) as well as a lower lawn area. With two modern-meets-country cosy bedrooms and a well kitted out bathroom, it's the perfect place for up to four people. The second bedroom can be configured as either a double or two single beds.

Oakleigh

Oakleigh Cottage is a sleeps 12 family-friendly, dog-friendly, holiday home in the heart of Blackawton. Situated across from the village's popular local pub, the George Inn, this modern-meets-country home is perfect for a big get-together.
We've renovated this South Hams holiday cottage over many years and have taken the time to thoroughly think and plan and discuss (in length and sometimes over "work lunches") how this property can best work for our guests. We're so excited to finally be able to share our labour of love with the world and can't wait to see happy memories being made.
The L-shaped ground floor is an open-plan space with the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas all benefiting from stunning panoramic views of the beautiful countryside. A boot room and downstairs utility area off to the side provides much-needed space to decamp before leading to the quirky, custom-made staircase. Upstairs you'll find a cosy snug where you can relax and enjoy the views from higher up. The master bedroom on this level has an ensuite shower room and boasts enviable views from a private balcony. Three further bedrooms and a shower room fill the old cottage. The dormitory in the loft sleeps four in single beds with an ensuite shower and games area for the kids.
Outside there's the perfect area to chill, chat and eat. With sliding doors from the dining room opening up to a patio with seating for everyone. You can fire up the BBQ and enjoy your evening with friends and family, or you can have a quiet soak in the hot tub.
