Two family-run self-catering holiday cottages in a beautiful area of South Devon. Poppy Cottage and Oakleigh are both in the centre of the rural village of Blackawton, between the popular towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, and Kingsbridge. Our family is local to this lovely village and believe Blackawton is the perfect base for your South Devon holiday. Whether you want a trip on the River Dart, a wander up the ever quirky Totnes high street, or a day well spent on the beach, our cottages offer the best home away from home to explore all the South Hams has to offer.

What's the use in enjoying Devon's wonderful beaches, countryside walks and fantastic local pubs if you can't bring your four-legged friend? We know that one of the best parts of a staycation is being able to include the pup, so we welcome dogs downstairs in our cottages - muddy paws and all!
Family Time
Our self-catering cottages are designed with family in mind. Our little ones even helped us renovate! So whether it's cutlery for the kids, games to keep them occupied on rainy days, or stair gates in place for peace of mind, we've got you covered. We can also provide travel cots, highchairs, baby baths and toilet training seats upon request to make that mammoth task of packing the car a teeny bit easier.

Sustainable Travel
A big part of why we think Devon is so great is the countryside and coastline. Wonderful fresh seafood in our local restaurants and beautiful natural scenery doesn't exist without us all doing our bit to be a bit more eco-friendly. That's why we strive for sustainability and have actively sought to reduce our impact.
